The Bright Story

Early childhood education isn’t just about learning in the classroom. Children are endlessly curious with a penchant for discovering learning opportunities around every corner. From the home to the centre and the wider community, to a child, learning is a continuous experience.

At Bright Early Learning Centre we believe that a child learns best in a conducive environment with a deep sense of belonging. However, creating a nurturing environment can’t be done alone. Here, partnerships play a vital role in its creation, which is why our team of passionate and experienced early childhood educators will go the extra mile to work closely with families and understand what works best for their children.

Established in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework, our education program fosters a strong sense of identity and wellbeing, effective communication, and confidence in contributing to the world. With a curriculum that encourages learning and exploring, we lay the foundations for children to flourish into capable and skillful individuals of the future.

Being an owner-operated business, Bright Early Learning Centre features purpose built indoor and outdoor learning playspace that are tailor-made to different age groups. Our centre features specially designed rooms, each catering to children from six weeks to school age.

Beyond people and facilities, Bright Early Learning Centre has so much to offer. Founded by Vincent & Mei who have more than 15 years experience operating successful high quality children services.

Based on the principles of honesty, integrity, and close collaboration with families, led by a committed management team with over 15 years of hands-on experience, we are a well-established and reputable organisation in long daycare that welcomes children and their families from all cultural backgrounds and walks of life.

Partnership with Kinderland International Education

Bright ELC is proud to be partnering with Singaporean’s leading Early Years education company, Kinderland International Education (KIE). Founded in 1978, KIE currently operates 110 infant care centres and preschool services across 8 countries – Singapore, Australia, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Bangladesh.

KIE is also well recognised as a human capital development organisation. Its teachers’ training arm is responsible for training and providing career pathways for English and Chinese early childhood professionals in the region.

Our partnership with KIE was established on a shared belief and identity, which is to offer the highest standard of care and learning opportunities to children.

Bright Early Learning Centre will be engaging in collaborative opportunities for cross-cultural knowledge exchange in early years best practices with KIE. This program will be focused on the professional development for educators and learning support and services for children.

We believe that action speaks louder than words, so book a tour of our centre and speak to us. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Our Values

Our Bright ELC curriculum aims to engage, and so is our commitment to you, the parent. We believe that our role as an Early Learning Centre is to be an active partner with parents in guiding and facilitating a child’s growth and development.

To that end, our educators will always be in touch with you, working closely with you to ensure your child gets the proper guidance. We are here for you and your family, and we will welcome any feedback and suggestions to extend our learning programs.

The Bright Promise: Our business is built upon five values that are centered around the growth and development of every child at Bright ELC.

Quality childcare & education

We provide top-quality childcare and learning for children from six weeks to school age, following the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

A Safe Learning Environment

Children learn best in a safe, peaceful, and welcoming environment where they feel belonged. All our rooms are individualised for every age group to give a comforting sense of home.

Giving a healthy start

A healthy diet nurtures body and mind. We cook fresh, nutritious meals in-house, offering diverse cuisines and accommodating dietary requests.

Creating friendship

An important part of growing up involves building social skills. We aim to foster a sense of community and cohesion, so that children can cultivate social acceptance across cultures and physical differences.

Stimulating learning

Classrooms aren’t ideal for young kids to learn. We create learning opportunities through PLAY, the best way for preschoolers to gain skills.

Mei Leong / Centre Director

About the founder

In 2003, Mei left her lucrative corporate banking career to step into the early childhood sector and pursue her passion in educating young children. After obtaining her qualifications as a Kinder Teacher, she started her new career as a State Funded Kindergarten Teacher.

After two years as an Early Childhood Teacher, Mei set up her own successful child care provider service in Melbourne. Though her child has since grown, Mei remains guided by the same philosophy that initially motivated her to enter the childhood sector.

That guiding philosophy is to provide high quality early childhood education to every child, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in school, and developing their confidence to bring about a positive impact on the community.

Coming from a corporate background, Mei is aware of the needs of today’s parents who are struggling to find a healthy work-life balance. Having been through the challenges and pitfalls of a young professional mother, she understands the importance of having a place that provides wholehearted support for a mother’s parental needs, and the peace of mind it brings.

As Bright ELC’s Director, Mei will always ensure that every child will receive the same care and education that she would expect for her own.

“We have observed significant improvement in our child’s ability to develop positive relationships and friendships with other kids.”

I appreciate your team’s effort in settling John. Special thanks to Stephanie for teaching him the ABC song and successfully toilet training him—it was a challenge for us, but now he tells us when he needs to go. He’s also speaking English fluently. The food is fantastic—my elder daughter wishes she had the same experience. Kudos to your team!

Early childhood isn’t about textbooks and classes. The best way for young children to learn is through play-based learning, where they develop foundational skills through exploration and experience.

Our centre is designed to support play-based learning in both small and large group settings, indoors and outdoors.

Ask our educators about how play-based learning is integrated into your child’s daily routine.

The Early Years Learning Framework is an Australian Government guideline ensuring quality early childhood education programs for toddlers to five-year-olds and supporting their transition to school.

It emphasizes play-based learning, communication, language development (including early literacy and numeracy), and social and emotional growth.

Our trained educators integrate literacy and numeracy skills into a rich play-based program using intentional teaching methods.

We offer a variety of extracurricular activities like Music & Movement, Arts & Craft, Cooking, Community Outreach, and Junior Science, all designed to build numeracy and literacy skills in a fun, engaging way.

Every child is unique in how they interact with others. We take misbehaviour seriously, especially issues like biting, bullying, and pushing.

Our educators are trained in behaviour management and redirection techniques, focusing on positive reinforcement and teaching social skills.

We emphasize teamwork and play, working to resolve conflicts and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all children.
